Judges say monument lawsuit lacks merit
A Federal appeals court ruled that a mindblowingly stupid lawsuit by a “Christian talk radio host” seeking to force St. Roy’s Granite Calf back into the Judicial Building was properly dismissed. The suit claimed that by not establishing Christianity the Federal court was establishing a “nontheistic faith”. If that makes any sense to you, you too can be a Christian talk radio host.

The John Carroll Catholic High School boys basketball team goes for its second straight 6A (the highest level) state championship tonight. To me, it’s like a dream, because when I was there the sports teams were pretty awful. Well, the basketball team was okay, I guess, but certainly not a state title contender. (And the football team lost something like 55 games in a row.) With another Birmingham-area school, Parker, also in the finals, a state record crowd is anticipated.
UPDATE: We won.
