People from the South frequently ask me if I’m from the North or if I’m military but my Southern accent is pretty easy to spot by anyone not from around here.

  2. I was born and raised in FL, most people think I’m from California or something, because I have no accent.

  3. From the west, and my accent was a western accent. Only question – when the site said I had the lowest common denominator of American speech, was that supposed to be an insult?

  4. I grew up in B’ham and have always lived in the South, but my mother was from Pennsylvania. The test pegged me heavily as Inland North. But, like Moose, I think that anyone from another part of the country would pick up on my use of the word Y’all.
