I haven’t done one of these before, but everyone has them, I guess. Anyway, I have Type II diabetes. I am supposed to check my blood three times a day, which requires these little testing strips. The sociopaths at the prescription insurance place sent back a note denying coverage unless they’ve been billed for insulin. Which I don’t need.
In other words, they won’t pay for a necessary expense until I get sicker. They’d rather pay for a whole lot of other treatments later than a little bit now. Like I said, sociopaths.

Don’t they know that trees on the highway are deadly? At least, according to the Alabama DOT.
In the Department Of Things That Are Never Going To Happen (I’m going to make that a category) reducing the speed limit of a major highway to 35 MPH and eliminating lanes is very high on the list. Basically, they would cut off a major section of the Birmingham metro area from the rest. Not going to happen.
