Is the “Tyrannical Branch”. Dick Cheney is the Tyrant, and his office (formerly the Office of the Vice President) is the Tyranny.
“Tyrant” is used here not in the sense of “cruel, oppressive overlord” but in its original sense. To the ancient Greeks, a tyrannos was not necessarily an oppressor, but to any ruler who seized power extra-constitutionally, as opposed to inheritance or election.
