Seriously, the Mac Thomason Parkway. Think about it. You don’t even have to make it permanent, just for a year or two.

The Birmingham school system spent more than $2.5 million to send various people to conferences during the last school year. It’s three times what the (larger) Jefferson County system spent and six times what the (same-sized) Shelby County system did. And there’s no accountability and no record of who went where. But I’m sure nobody abused it.
