Jefferson County Commission votes to give Eagle Forum of Alabama money to host forum- al.com
Is this even legal? I mean, giving money to those paleoconservative hacks to say that Mexicans are evil and that There’s No Such Thing As Global Warming™? You can do that?

C’mon. Rich white folks never get a voice in the public square. I’m fine with my county government subsidizing a forum where a traditionally-marginalized group can finally spread their message of hope to everyone.
That’s a good little doggie: “Jim Carns, Bobby Humphryes and George Bowman voted for the payment to the Eagle Forum…Bowman, appointed by Gov. Bob Riley to the commission last December, said after the meeting he didn’t know anything about the organization.”

I think that it’s a WordPress.com icon and you’d have to have a WordPress account to have one. Everyone else gets blanks.
