They can’t come up with collateral, and have asked for more time. The banks could terminate the agreement and demand the money now, but the county doesn’t have the money, and certainly nobody’s going to loan them any. Richard Shelby said, basically, that no Federal bailout is forthcoming, and I wouldn’t expect much from the state. So, like I said… What’s next?

The loathsome Stan Pate’s no doubt loathsome PAC actually gave $50,000 to another PAC which gave $70,000 to yet another PAC which then gave the same amount to BMLL’s PAC. And now, shockingly, the loathsome Mr. Pate is getting in with Langford on a bizarre plan to build an “Olympic Village” (maybe we’ll get the Spring Olympics) in Five Points West, which Langford wants to make more like Five Points South, which after all does have five points.
