Members of the Birmingham City Council have discovered — I know this is hard to believe — that it costs money to run buses and that if you give away free bus rides then the city is going to be stuck with the whole tab. So some of them have changed their minds and want to scale back Crazy Larry’s Free Bus Summer. Larry’s spokesperson was all upset.

“The problem in this nation is we don’t fear God,” Langford said. “The only thing we’re scared of is each other. God gave the question, `Do you not fear me? Do you not tremble at my presence?’ America needs to redevelop a healthy fear of the power of our God.”
