Movies! In Bessemer!

Movie theater to open tonight in Bessemer - Breaking News from The Birmingham News - al.com

I actually remember when you could see a movie in Bessemer, but I don’t think my younger siblings do. It’s been a long, long time. The old movie theater has spent the last several years as a temporary public library, of all things.

Really? The one in the old KMart parking lot? I haven’t been in that area in years.

So at the new theater Saturday night for Batman we asked the nice young lady tearing “tickets” (paper on receipt stock) where the restroom was.

    She pointed to the front.

Either there are none in the rear of the building by the theaters or she was clueless. Either way, at this point there seem to be 14 theaters and one restroom. Rock on.

Normal. For Bessemer, anyway. I kid!
