Gas availability might have kept many from attending Talladega race – al.com
Yes, it turns out that people were unable to watch the cars going around and around and not getting anywhere because they couldn’t afford gas. (Also, it was on TV.) What would have been great would have been if someone hadn’t been able to finish the race for the same reason.
