It’s very dry right now. We could use a hurricane or two, and who cares about Mobile? Anyway:
- The entire state is in drought, with 60 percent in “extreme” drought.
- Cotton and soybeans are starting to die.
- Livestock are in distress and ponds, wells, and streams drying up.
- There’s also only a fraction of the needed hay.
