I don’t get it

Only 40 percent of U.S. adults tested for HIV – AIDS- msnbc.com

So? Seriously, how many US adults really need AIDS tests? Most Americans really aren’t at risk for HIV, and testing them is a waste of time, resources, and money.

    I really don’t get this. There may be a lot of people who should get HIV tests who aren’t, but I really doubt that even 40 percent of American adults are at risk.

    For the same reason, a negative VDRL is required to get a marriage license, is part of a comprehensive physical and required of food handlers in some states. Diagnosis and treatment of communicable devastating diseases.
