“Balance”, in fact, is stupid. “Balance” leads to things like people being allowed to go on TV and say that “intelligent design” is a workable theory and that the government blew up the World Trade Center and that you can cut taxes and raise spending without increasing the deficit. Though I admit that last one is pretty hard to swallow and I can’t imagine anybody actually believing it. “Balance” keeps reporters from saying that someone is full of shit even when it is obvious that they are full of shit.
